Second wife her sister Freelove born 29 Aug 1784 died 10 Jul 1870. Maried to Ester 7 Apr 1816. Children Stephen M. 7 Feb 1817, William H. 7 Nov 1819 - 8 Jun 1846, Polly C. 15 May 1821, Hannah K. 1825, Maria 26 Jun 1828 - 1871, Courtland P. 14 Oct 1831, Martin J. 1 Mar 1833. Freelove was widow of Abel Kinney 1772 - 1846. They were married 29 Dec 1803. Their children were Abel 1804 - 1839, Peleg K. 1806 - 1870, Loami 1808, Asa 1810, Rachel 1812, Martin P. 1814, Samuel N. 1817, Benjamine G. 1820, Francis 1823. First wife and some of the children buried at Chaffee's. Joshua owned a farm at Goff's Corners and other farms in Lincoln. He bought each of his sons a farm in Michigan. He made several trips overland to Michigan driving cattle for his sons."
